Agia Napa
Welcome to sunny Cyprus where the weather can get hotter than a vinda loo on a Friday night.Agia Napa is a very relaxed and chilled out town though-out the day, but comes alive at night partying until the wee small hours..... if you want to party all night and sun bathe all day, then this beautiful and relaxing town is for you..!!
Accommodation
This is package deal heaven so shop around for the best deals but remember location!! if you want more of a beach holiday look to stay near nissi beach (the best beach in Agia Napa). for the night life look to book central (the closer the better). its easier to get a taxi to the beach from the town. Than to get a taxi out of town after clubbing!!!
I would recommend booking a room close to the square (party central) then hire a moped to get to the beach. Remember mopeds are dangerous and many accidents and deaths happen each year due to people messing about on them [be warned] drive safe!!
room standards-you get what you pay for!! generally throughout all the hotels in Agia Napa the rooms are very basic with little in the way of furnishings, but very clean!!. try to find a room with air con this will not cost much more but well worth
Food
Generally food standards are high, with clean kitchen area's, this is due to the amount of competition the town, which also play a part in the pricing... great value and of a good standard. With an array of fast food places you are spoilt for choice.
Temperature
Best time to party in Agia Napa is the start of July, the weather is hot but not insanely hot and the town is busy for the night life. Where as the start of the season (the square) can be fairly quite (still mad!) but not as busy.... avoid august if possible, the heat is unbearable!!
What to do by day!!!
Chill out on nissi beach this is all ways a good option... this is the place to be in Agia Napa by day a beautiful beach with clear water and some cool water sports. Plus at the back of the beach there are a few bars and food shops so basically your sorted.
Nothing goes on in the town(central) by day just like a spooky ghost town. You could go to look around the harbor, for trips around the island, or fishing, which has a small beach.
Or simply wake up very late and crash out around the pool at your hotel, the choice is yours!!
What to do by night!!
well a good start is dinner, find something that takes your fancy and proceed directly to the nearest pub.(not the square) its good to start off in the pubs around the outskirts off the square MUCH CHEAPER and a good place to discuss the plan for the nights activities like what club you want to end up in. GOOD TIP! ask behind the bar if they have any free tickets to the clubs you will find most of them have.
Now you've had a few beer and got your FREE club tickets head into the square........i not even going to bother to name all the pubs, there's no need because its just a mass off people. Find a cool spot and just enjoy the party!!!at about 12 its time to find a club..HERE ARE JUST A FEW!
The clubs
The clubs in Agia Napa are not super clubs, in fact they are more like small discos but still a quality night out and a great place to pull...
gas street a great club with 2 rooms one an 80's room and a garage room which you can switch as many times as you like the best place to end up if you are undecided what sort of night you want.
carwash a cheesy disco club but when your steaming can be so much fun. All the classic's all night long..
castle club this is a large club with a chill out area outside, often plays host to the more famous DJ's check it out..
kool club nice club to chill out with some funky dance tracks and popular dance music.. |
