Tips for Hair
Try combing a little lemon juice through your hair. The sun will lighten those strands VERY fast. giving you an attractive sun-streaked look. It's also easier on your budget than the salon prices.
-
Be sure to deep condition your hair at least once a week, especially if you swim a lot. Hair tends to become dry, dull and brittle if it is soaked and dried too often.
If you like to swim, try spritzing on some leave-in conditioner under your swim cap to help ward off damage from chlorine and salt water. i recomend the sun and swim spray on.
Protect Your Hair Color
The sun will have an adverse affect on healthy and color treated hair. Whether your sitting on the beach or walking to the shops, wear a hat or scarf to prevent your hair from drying out and your color from fading. Invest in a leave-in conditioner with sunscreen and use it when a hat is not practical.
-
Keep Your Hair Updated and Trimmed
When the temperatures heat up, consider a new, shorter hair style or a new style ponytail that is easy to manage and keep clean. Start off with a professional cut. remember in hot countries your hair grows alot faster.
Summer Skincare Tips

International travel beauty Tips for Skin
It may be the fashion to be tanned, but don't fry your skin for the sake of it. Your best bet is a high quality bronzer in a bottle. The Body Shop has a great all-natural formula. Just remember to use a facial scrub prior to application to slough off any dead skin cells. You may also want to use a pair of gloves, so your palms dont turn orange! (in the far east it is the fashion to be pale, and the girls go to great lenths to keep out of the sun).
-
If you spend lots of time outside, be sure to use sunscreen with minimum SPF 15 / 20. The cancer-preventing benefits are obvious, but protection is also a must for those of us who don't want to look old before our time.
-
Drink pleanty of water! at least 8 glasses (or 2 ltrs) of water a day and even more when you are outside.
-
If you burn, apply Aloe Vera or lotions containing it. This will cool and soothe your skin and help you to heal faster. Then as an extra tip wet some towel's with ice cold water then place them over the burn area.
-
Mosquito! Nothing is more revolting than skin full of red mosquito or bug bites, not to mention the new threat of West Nile Virus, so don't forget the bug spray. You may want to try one of the new two-in-one sunscreen and insect repellants. Remember always use more at night and double if you are going anywhere near water such as rivers, lakes or swampland.
-
If your planning on kissing or getting a bit passionet with your love one while still wearing the Mosquito Spray then beware! who ever kisses the area with the spray on will get effected. i.e there lips will go numb. so quick TIP : have a quick wash before you get down to some heavy petting ;)
Summer Make-up Tips

International travel beauty Tips for Make-Up
Let your new summer glow be the foundation - less is best! brush on a light shimmering powder instead of a heavy foundation. You don't want to appear like you are melting under the hot sun.
-
When on the beach or spending long hours in the sun always wear protective lip gloss this is about factor 25 / 30.
-
A hot look on a bronzed face is shiny lip gloss. The BEST is "Lip Glass" by MAC. It gives you ultra shine over lipstick (applied with a brush) or on its own. Plus, it stays put - a big bonus for die-hard lip gloss wearers!
-
Try a light shimmering eye shadow in beige just under your brow bone to draw attention to your eyes.
-
spending time on the beach or in hot clubs, then try waterproof mascara. or else you really will end up with the dreaded dark circles!
Fake Tan
Today's self-tanners give you a safe, deep golden tan, not the orange look of years ago
Quick Tip! For a deep, extra dark tan before a special occasion, apply self tanning lotion before bed, and again in the morning. Before you go out, check yourself in the mirror for any streaks and correct them with a damp paper towel.
Other Things
Eating the antioxidant lutein (found in dark-green leafy vegetables, such as spinach and kale) can protect your skin against some of the sun's damaging effects, say Harvard researchers. Lutein also helps lessen skin damage caused by aging, UV light, and other environmental stresses.
Take it all off every night--your makeup, that is. "Use a remover without chemicals," says Kat James, author of "The Truth About Beauty: Transform Your Looks and Your Life From the Inside Out." "The point is to purify your face, not add harsh synthetics.
